So I always try to combine both. - I guide and teach people who are lucky enough to have dogs in their lives, to communicate in a way our dogs understand. - I have always done obedience and agility with my own dogs. - I train dogs at the Dogwatch Adoption Center as a volunteer in order to give them a better chance to be re-homed. - I participate in school or holiday programs to teach children how to be safe around dogs. |
|
| 13. What are your favourite dog books? | I do not have a favourite, but I do like stories which are written from the dog's perspective. | |
| 14. Is there anything else we should know about you and your dog training business? | Trainimals will teach you how to communicate, give your dog everything it needs and deserves. At the same time giving you, "the dog owner", peace of mind and real pride in your mate. Our dogs must listen out of respect and not because they fear their owner. So as owners we have to learn to gain the respect of our canine pals. Every dog is an individual, just like humans they have their moods, their personality quirks and their funny little ways, but the training principles are very clear and straight forward. Working on a model that is based on positive rewarding techniques, we get results by communication with the dogs on their own level. We use the same pack dynamics as their primary ancestors the wolves. |
